HCI Designer, Inc developed a document publishing and distribution system for our client that publishes daily financial research. The system replaced an existing DOS Batch system. The new online system is written in ASP 3.0 with an Access 2000 database. The key improvement of the new system is the ability to allow for research to be distributed on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis entirely from the internet.

The management control panel of the system is accessible via a 128 bit encrypted secure internet connection. The system allows administrators, research analysts, and subscribers 24-hour password protected access to independent functionality.

Administrators are able to perform over 10 different system level modifications. These include modifying global system variables, adding and modifying subscribers, creating user reports, and most importantly running the daily, weekly, and monthly document distribution.

Analysts are able to download, upload, research financial information, and publish new research.

Subscribers are able to add and modify distribution lists and create distribution reports.

Overall, the new system has helped our client by allowing them the flexibility to manage their business remotely over the internet in a secure, quick, and reliable manner.
